Welcome to my little blog. My name is Therese. I'm learning to live my roles as wife, daughter, sister, and friend in light of the undeserved mercy God has shown to me. My husband's name is Ross. Our marriage is the best and worst thing that ever happened to me.
We have a son named Noah and we're obsessed. He has brought so much love and laughter into our home!
We have a son named Noah and we're obsessed. He has brought so much love and laughter into our home!
I like parenthetical expressions, singing when no one can hear me, and drinking black coffee. I'm happiest when I'm outdoors and around people I love. My hobbies include eating, baking, sleeping, reading, running, biking, and swimming. In no particular order. In real life, sometimes people don't know if I'm serious or joking. I'm probably joking. My sarcasm is a little too dry. I'm working on it!
I graduated from Texas Christian University in 2007 and started working as a NICU RN.
I married Ross in 2008.
We moved from Texas to Kansas in 2009 and I got a job in a NICU here.
Ross started grad school in 2010.
I obtained by RNC-NIC in January 2011 and started grad school the fall of that same year.
The summer of 2012, the Lord reached down from on high and took hold of me; He drew me out of deep waters (Psalm 18:16).
Fall of 2012, I transitioned to a new job, HATED it, and resigned after 9 months without a backup plan (for once in my life)!
Fall of 2013, I got pregnant the same month I took 2 new jobs: Night shift in the NICU at one hospital, and day shift at a birth center in town. I didn't sleep much while I was pregnant, and I 100% regret that!
Spring of 2014, we bought a total money pit house.
Summer of 2014, we had a baby! We love him dearly and he's such a light in our lives. Also my daily means of sanctification.
The winter after I had a baby, I transferred to the NICU at a bigger hospital.
Summer of 2015, I finally sought treatment for crippling Postpartum Anxiety.
Fall of 2015, I transferred to the Lactation department at my hospital.
Spring of 2016, I took (and passed) my IBCLC exam after extensive training and studying.
In addition to mom-ing, I work in a local hospital and I also have my own home business, Happy Mama, Healthy Baby.
I need rest physically, emotionally, spiritually. I’m constantly learning how to mature in my faith and walk with God daily, not just when I’m in crisis mode.
